Twenty Years

Today I'm turned 20 years old. WOW! I honestly remember when I was 9 turning 10 and I thought it was so awesome that I was hitting the double digits. Time has flown by! I'm now 20! There are no more teenagers in my family. Weird....

This past year has been very interesting. So many things have happened.

This year I've become very addicted to writing missionaries. I've never really written many friends or family who are serving missions but this year I've written so many of my amazing friends that I've grown up with or that I've met down at Snow.

I've finished up my associate degree at Snow. This year was quite difficult for me because of the classes I was taking but I finished. I graduated and I'm so happy to be home now.

This past year I've become closer to my parents. They are my closest, best friends ever. I love them so much and I'm so incredibly lucky to have parents like mine. My siblings have helped me as well. I love spending time with my family and I know that my family will always be there for me, no matter what.

I've grown spiritually this year. As most of you guys know, down at Snow I was the Relief Society President of a student ward. It was one of the hardest callings I've ever had in my life but at the same time it was one of those life changing moments in my life. I got to know the girls in my ward so well. There were tough times where I felt like I couldn't do anything at all but the Lord was really looking after me at Snow. I got to feel things that I've never felt before.

Thank you to everyone who were a part of my life this past year. I hope that you will be in many of my years to come. I love you all and I'm so excited for the many years I have to come! :)

What the...what the heck!?

Today is one of my best friends birthday. She is an amazing friend to me and today she is 20 years old. Kudos to you for living this long and for many more to come. We've had some pretty awesome memories together. Here are a few of Janessa and I.Snow College Homecoming 2009. The football game we had so much fun but I remember that night for the homecoming dance, we went for a while just stag until we went home cried our eyes out and had ice cream. :) That was a funny night how we were crying about different things but the ice cream helped us.

Janessa and I were registering for spring semester 2010 in her room and the computer was being dumb so we made our whimpy faces :) I remember laughing pretty hard afterwards.
Winter of 2009. Our crazy adventures of going out in the cold at midnight playing in the snow. Making snow angels in the middle of the road, sliding on our stomaches over the snow, and making cool pictures with 'fog'. So much fun!
Sweethearts Dance Feb 2010. Janessa and I doubled and it was so much fun! We made food and danced the night away! :) I love this picture.
Our Birthday Bash last year. We all came to my house and had a party with pizza and cake and movies! :) That was one of my favorite weekends.

Happy Birthday Janessa! :) Live this next year the best you possibly can! I love you!
(P.S. There is another post I updated last night that you should read for all you followers)

4 8 15 16 23 42

For those of you who know these numbers from an awesome TV show, I have recently become addicted to it.
So I started watching LOST about a week and a half ago. I don't have a job quite yet so I just spend a lot of my time at home plus I don't have a car. I am currently on Season 3 Episode 2 or 3. I'm loving how the movie will flash back to the different people on the island and what they were like before the crash and how they've changed on the island. I'm still hooked on it and am loving every episode. :)

Car Accident and a Tooth Infection

So there is a lot thats happened in the past week or two. I just haven't had time to update my blog and I honestly don't know how to put it in words. So if you guys have already read about my accident on Facebook, then skip this next part for the rest of my blog.

I was driving to Lake Point from Woods Cross last night and I was on I-80 passing the rest stop just before you turn into Lake Point when I heard my front passenger tire start humming. I started to slow down because I knew it was going to pop sometime soon. Seconds later the tire popped and I started to slowly steer to the right to get off the road when I lost control of the car. My car swerved to the left and hit the middle metal barrier with the front of my car then the car spun while against the barrier and it hit the passenger side of the car. My car spun to the point where my car was at an angle and the front of my car was facing oncoming traffic. I took off my seatbelt and made sure that my body was okay before moving. I found my phone then started to open my front door but couldn't because the hood of my car had blocked the outside of my front door. I started to panic and moved to the passenger side door and I could only open the door about 4 inches and nothing more. I then started to honk my horn just in case someone could hear while I started to kick the door trying to get it open. I looked through the partially broken windshield. I noticed that my headlights were all out and that there was a car heading right towards me. I started to really hyperventilate thinking that my life was going to be over. I prayed saying "Heavenly Father please save me" I stared at the car coming towards me and saw that it moved into the other lane. I then started to calm down just a little bit. I heard something outside the car move and then my front door opened. A guy came and grabbed my hand saying "Your car is in the middle of the lane, we gotta get out of here" He yanked me out of the car and we ran north of where the car was, away from the barrier. There was a police officer and also another lady there. The lady was a nurse and she put her arm around my waist just in case I was going to fall or whatnot and she started checking me for injuries. The only injuries I really got from the whole accident was whiplash and a few pieces of glass that scratched me. I called my mom and was talking to her (while in very bad shock) when the lady holding me up was like "Oh my gosh that truck is going to hit the car" I look at my car and see this guard truck coming right at the car and so the people with me started ducking and stuff waiting for the crash but the guy in the truck stopped about 5 feet away from the car. I was talking to my mom still then I headed to the bumper of my car because I was shaking so badly and I felt my knees starting to give way. I sat on the bumper of my car (because the back half of my car was in good shape) and everything just sunk in and I started crying. police officers were asking me what happened. A fire truck came and checked me out to see if I had a concussion or whatnot. They checked my blood pressure and it was pretty high from all the shock. The nurse left and then my parents and Stuart showed up. My parents were just around me calming me down and Stuart was taking video and pictures of the whole accident. The tow truck came and took the car away then I had to fill out a statement saying what happened and everything. Then I came home and told my brother Phil what happened. I took a shower then went to bed. This morning I woke up soooo sore. My whole body is really sore, especially my back. But I'm incredibly lucky to be alive in the condition that I'm in right now. The Lord was really looking after me last night and I'm eternally indebted to him.

So I only had a few days of being sore from whiplash but overall, I'm fine. About 3 days after the accident I started to have a tooth ache. I would take ibuprofen for the whiplash and then for the toothache. 2 days later, I woke up to the left side of my face totally swollen. UGH! haha Not good. I called the dentist and I got an appointment in the same day. I went in and the nurse would tease me that I had something in my mouth because it was swollen but the dentist said that I'm going to have to get this tooth pulled. yikes! Huge tooth infection. So he gave me antibiotics and some lortab for the swelling and the pain. over the past few days the swelling has definitely gone down which I'm happy about. :) I'm not too excited about the whole getting the tooth pulled but I'd rather have it pulled than constantly having an infection haha

I graduated from Snow College on Saturday and here are some pictures! It was Snowing off and on that day but it was a good day overall. Thanks to Mom, Dad, Ethan, and Andrea for coming down for the graduation! :)
