Dear New Library

Thank you for being there when I really needed to focus on my school work today. Did I get all my homework done today? No. But I do enjoy the Badger Bistro and their variety on food when I've been in a room on the top floor doing nothing but studying for 5 or 6 hours fully studying. Will I be coming back to you again soon? Oh yeah.

Love, brain-fried college student.

President's Day Weekend

Here are some things that have been going on lately:
*School has been pretty good. Classes have been keeping me busy. One class I have a test a week. In another class I have to read 125 children's books. Yeah it's a lot but at the same time it's really not that bad. Other than that classes are pretty relaxed. It's weird that I will be graduating from Snow in 2 months! Crazy but exciting!
*My calling is going good. It's going to be strange that in 2 months I won't be Relief Society President anymore. I love my calling though. I have been truly blessed by accepting this calling and by serving the calling with all that I have. I love my girls so much.
*Life is going great! I am happy with life. I really am excited for what will happen in the future. I have no idea what is going to happen in the future but I am ready for it. My plans right now is to graduate from Snow then just work. I want to save up my money for some things that are not set in stone yet.
*Dating is going good. I've been on quite a few dates lately. Valentine's Dance, Date with Daniel and I got some more to come. In 2 weeks I'll be going on a date with this awesome guy named Mitch. I'm pretty excited about dating. I don't really have to worry about if the guy likes me or not. I'm more to the point where I'll just have fun and be myself. I guess many girls think otherwise but as for me it's all for just living in the moment and living it very stress free I guess. good? good.

Well that's whats going on right now in my life. Just trying to keep you updated and I know there are some people that check my blog on a daily basis so they will be happy to know that I've updated. :)

Carbon Monoxide!? What?

So last night, I was just chillin with my roommates when all of a sudden I see on facebook (yeah get over the fact that I like facebook) that my friend said "More firefighters at the science building" I immediately went over to my window and opened the blinds to see 3 fire trucks, 2 ambulances, and half a dozen cops or undercover cops. The science building is literally across the street from my apartment. Talk about WOW! This all started at around 8:30ish. So we would look out the window every now and then to see if anything else has happened. We found out that they taped off the building with "Police Do Not Cross" tape along with cutting off the street. We later found out that there was carbon monoxide in the building which lead to 2 girls passing out and dozens of people getting checked out from EMT's. Kinda scary considering the fact that Carbon Monoxide is an odorless and tasteless gas that can really hurt someone if there's a lot of it. Thankfully everyone is okay and the science building is now clear. That was my night last night. Ephraim doesn't get much action so it gets pretty exciting when things like this happen. haha The End.

Single Awareness Day

So I'm single once again this year. I'm not like depressed or anything about it. I'm fine with it all.
I woke up this morning and went to class then I went to the student center to check my mail. Guess what was inside? A letter! Who from? Elder Daniel Fereday. What did the letter say? Well it actually turned out to be a valentine! cute right? Daniel is one of my best friends. He is currently serving his mission in Ohio. He's been out for 7 months now.
Another thing that happened today was that my building got Wi-Fi! OHH YEAHH! (just think of Vector from Despicable Me saying that) Don't worry, I'm making this blog in my kitchen, with no internet cord as you read this! woot! So it turned out to be a pretty good day. Wasn't worried about whether or not I was getting a valentine or roses. I'm cool with buying some chocolate for myself :) plus watching a chick flick tonight? Yup. I totally deserve this because I'm totally single

P.S. I Love You

For those of you who haven't seen this movie or who have had someone very special leave you whether by death or by some other way, this movie will help you so much with moving on and letting go.

I had an experience that some of you already know about. About a year and a half ago, my best friend left me. He completely cut off all communication between us. It was one of the hardest things that has happened me to in my life. This was less than a month before I came to Snow College for my first year. I struggled for a while. At first was pretty bad but the pain and sadness that I felt gradually decreased. My roommate at the time named Melanie and my good friend Dani wanted to watch this movie and I had never seen it. I watched it with them and all these memories flooded back about my best friend and I. I felt what she was feeling. Scared. Nervous. Lonely. Towards the end of the movie there's a part where she doesn't feel her husband anymore. (yeah kind of confusing but watch it and you'll understand) At that time, things became easier for me in letting go of him and moving on.

Yes, that was a year and a half ago. I'm such a stronger person now then I was back then. I've learned so much from that experience and I've grown when it comes to dating. I have had ups and downs just like any other person but I've dealt with it more maturely now. This movie is one of my favorites because of how I overcame my depression of my best friend leaving me. It has very personal meaning to me and I'm going to own a copy of it one day. haha Thanks to one of my good friends who has an awesome name and an awesome birthday (yeah her name is Emalee and her birthday is May 30th...like mine. cool huh?) for letting me borrow the movie for a while. Thanks for reading this post. Please comment if you'd like.

P.S. I Love You

Change

Don't you ever feel like you are living in the moment with your friends all around you and then the next moment it's...different?

My life at the moment is taking a turn. I'm more individual this semester. I just watch things happen and change around me. Friends getting engaged. Friends getting married. Friends making new best friends. Friends going on missions. Friends change. Things happen. Life goes on and you gotta live with it. No matter what.
