Happily Ever After

Since I've been down here at Snow College, my amazing roommates have introduced me to this awesome band called "He Is We". They are originally from Tacoma, Washington. I have fallen in love with their music. They are going on tour this fall. Are they coming to Salt Lake City? YES! Are my roommates and I going to the concert? HECK YES! I am pretty excited about it all. They have a lot of good songs but they haven't released their first album out yet. One of my favorite songs is called "Happily Ever After" and here are the lyrics. If you want to listen to it just go to Youtube and type is "He is We - Happily Ever After" Enjoy!

Let me riddle you a ditty, it's just an itty bitty, little thing on my mind.
About a boy and a girl, trying to take on the world one kiss at a time.
Now the funny thing about, ain't a story without it, but the story is mine.
And I wish you could say, that it ended just fine.

We all want to know, how it ends.

Oh, happily ever after, wouldn't you know, wouldn't you know.
Oh, skip to the ending, who'd like to know, I'd like to know.
Author of the moment, can you tell me, do I end up, do I end up happy?

Inhale, breathe steady, exhale, like you're ready, if you're ready or not.
Just a boy and a girl trying to take on the world, and we want to get caught.
In the middle of a very happy ending, let's see what we've got, let's give it a shot.
Let's give it a shot.

We all want to know, how it ends.

Oh, happily ever after, wouldn't you know, wouldn't you know.
Oh, skip to the ending, who'd like to know, I'd like to know.
Author of the moment, can you tell me, do I end up, do I end up happy?

We all have a story to tell.
Whether we whisper or yell.
We all have a story, of adolescence and all it's glory.
We all have a story to tell.

Oh, happily ever after, wouldn't you know, wouldn't you know.
Oh, skip to the ending, who'd like to know, I'd like to know.
Author of the moment, can you tell me, do I end up, do I end up happy?

We all have a story to tell.
We all have a story to tell.
We all have a story to tell.
We all have a story to tell.

My Week

this week has gone by really fast and really slow all at the same time.

Monday: I had classes and it was one of those days where you want to go back to sleep and not go to classes. We had FHE that night where we played laptag and missionary tag. :) fun times! My apartment also scored on 2 boxes of brownies. P.S. frozen brownies are the BEST!

Tuesday: This is the day where I started getting sick. UGH! It's never fun when your sick during school. I started coughing and sneezing. I had this cold all week ( still kind of do now but it's almost gone) My roommates and I do roller coaster Tuesdays. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, feel free to go to YouTube and look up "Roller Coaster Tuesdays Vol. 1" You will find it. :)

Wednesday: I did the radio today. It was lovely. I've decided that I like doing the radio. Sometimes I have no idea what to say on the air and I pretty much make it up as I go.

Thursday: We all had classes and I also had Aerobics which was half cardio and half Yoga. Yeah, I'm not very good at balancing but I think with time in this class, I'll get it down eventually. There was also a 50's dance in the Plaza in front of the new library. It was so much fun! There was a live band, my roommates randomly interviewed people about the dance and True Badger night that night. True Badger night. HAHAHAHA! My roommates decided to crash it by getting in Bianca's car and blasting "My First Kiss" in her car. Yeah it was pretty fun getting to ride along with them. :)

Friday: I went to the Manti Temple in the morning with my ward. It's so awesome going to the temple. I have been so bad at not going frequently. Hopefully this year I will be better at it. I love being able to just sit in the temple and ponder on things there and to feel the spirit. Even though I only had 2 classes, they were still very hard to get through seeing how I only had 5 and a half hours of sleep the night before. After my classes, guess what I did!? I took a 2 hours nap. :) It was GLORIOUS! Loved it. Later that night was the glow in the dark stomp. We got a bunch of glow sticks, poked holes in them and splattered it on our clothes! It was awesome! We went to the dance and just chilled for a while. It was fun just chilling. Not being in a mosh pit or anything like that. We then left the dance and just decorated t-shirts with glow in the dark paint while jamming out to music.

Saturday: It was an official lazy day. I slept in til noon. :) We basically chilled in the apartment all afternoon. We went to the General Relief Society Broadcast at the institute which was really good. I loved President Monson's talk on Charity and not judging. Other than that, thats basically my weekend. Good weekend.

I get to go home this coming weekend which makes me happy. I haven't been home for almost a month and it's going to be general conference! woot! I love general conference! Plus I miss my family. It's nice to be on your own but then there are those times where you miss your parents or your family. I've had that a few times this past month. Less than a week til I'm home. That's all for now! Hope to update soon!

Week 3

Time is flying by! I'm having way too much fun so far this year! Okay here are the events that have happened this week.

Monday: It was Labor Day, I told you about it in my last post.

Tuesday: It was safety night. Bianca came back to the apartment with a Mac Book Pro. It is beautiful! We went to safety night with the Mac because we just couldn't let it be by itself yet. :) After safety night, we then started messing around with the different webcam stuff you can do on the mac. We found....The roller coaster! That's right! We now do roller coaster Tuesdays in my apartment! If you have no idea what I'm talking about click here. This is my roommate Victoria at the beginning and then I magically appear with her. Then a bunch of us join in! So fun!

Wednesday: In the building that I live in, there is an old phone booth (obviously doesn't work anymore) and the door folds in and out so we tried to see how many people we could fit in the booth. Then we tried to get all of apartment 101 to get in there but guess who was the poor sport? Lala! It was 11pm when we tried to do this, she didn't want to do any of it! She was being a germ freak because we were all in the old phone booth. She actually went back to the apartment and got window cleaner and started cleaning the windows of the phone booth! Here's some pictures of it.

Thursday: Thursday was a very laid back kind of day. After my Aerobics class, I showered and then Bianca, Kaitlyn, Lala and I went to the institute to play pool. When we got there, we saw a bunch of people playing chair soccer! It's such a fun game! Lala and I played for a little while then we watched. Afterward, we played pool for a little bit and we also played this game called Davi (Dah-vee). It's a fun pool game. :)

Friday: Lala went on a trip to St. George for the weekend so we got to work on the Lala show a little more. We're going to have a disclaimer at the beginning and also the opening credits with each of us. I am so excited for the first episode! We're going to have so much fun this year! Kaitlyn went home today because she got her Mac in the mail at home. She's pretty much in love with it. Bianca and I got bored so we went to the practice field and played some Frisbee. We had dinner and then I had the urge to go to the temple. When I saw the time it was close to 10pm. I went to the Manti temple and I just sat there for about an hour just going through a bunch of things in my mind. I figured out a lot of things and I also got some peace on some things that were on my mind. I love going to the temple. Whether it's going inside or just sitting outside of the temple. I really could feel Heavenly Father's love for me. I know that he'll be there to guide me as Relief Society President. I love him so much and I love the gospel. :) just sayin'

Date with Billy and Birthdays!

I love coming home from college! You get home cooked food, family time, and relaxing moments at home. This weekend was Labor Day and there was lots to do this weekend.

Friday: I came home pretty early. I got to the house at about 2:30ish. I was so happy to just relax for a little bit and not have to worry about school. Mom came home early from work as well. Mom and I went into Salt Lake to do a little shopping for different reasons. Dad's birthday was this weekend so we went shopping for him. I had to get fabric for my sewing class because I'm doing 4 projects this semester. My first 2 projects are a quilt and a purse so mom and I went fabric shopping as well which was perfectly fine with mom. :) I ended up getting 4 charm packs of really fun colored fabrics. I am super stoked to show the class how to make the "Disappearing 9 Patch" quilt! That's basically all we did on Friday. We came home and I went straight to bed because Saturday was going to be a busy day.
Saturday: I woke up and got all ready for a trip up to Logan for 2 reasons. 1. My awesome cousin Whitney set me up on a date with this return missionary named Billy. Him and I had been talking this last week and I think I got more nervous the closer we got to Logan. 2. There are 4 birthdays in september with my family so we all decided to celebrate it all at once.
On with the date! I met Billy at his house and he had told me this previous week that he had a baby grand piano in his front room. I melted when he told me this! I had to play it! I was a bit nervous playing in front of him because I've only played the piano for 2 years. He was really patient with me and was amazed at how much I can play. We then went to a place called Angie's where we had lunch. It was pretty crowded but we were fine with waiting. After lunch, we went Mini Golfing. It was so much fun! He thought he was all cool because he brought his own golf club. We played 2 games and the first time I won and the second time he won. The first time I got a hole in one which made me very happy. Billy had a few close calls but never got a hole in one. We both had a lot of fun in the end. We went to go get some Aggie Ice Cream after mini golf. I got Aggie Blue Mint and Billy got Raspberries n' Cream. We ended up at this amazing park. It was in a rich part of Logan but we had our ice cream on this hill where it over looked the entire valley. It was BEAUTIFUL! We just both sat there for a few minutes just looking at the valley. We then got talking about a few things which was really nice. :) When we checked the time, we'd been on the date for a good 5 or 6 hours. It didn't feel like that long. We met my family at the Logan Zoo and walked around looking at all the different animals. Billy got to meet my family before the date was over. I had such a blast with him! Him and I are going on a 2nd date sometime soon, just don't know when. :D
To celebrate the birthdays, we went to Angie's (2nd time that day for me) for dinner. I wasn't hungry because of lunch just a few hours before. We love getting together and talking about different things that are happening in one anothers lives. Afterwards, we went to Vanessa and Danny's apartment where we had cake and ice cream. The kids got cards for their birthday and dad got ReAl tickets to a game in October. Everyone was happy. Mom, Dad and I left after cake and ice cream. We got to about Layton when we got a flat tire. We didn't have a flash light so we ended up using my cell phone (this was at around 9:30 at night) It was pretty scary seeing and hearing cars going past us at 70 mph but one car stopped and offered to help us. We were just about done when they had stopped so we told them that we were fine. :) It's nice to know that there are still good Samaritans out there in the world.

Sunday: I love Sundays. It's so nice to go to church then come home and just relax. We had Dad's favorite meal which was Sweet and Sour Meatballs. (also one of my favorites) Afterwards, I took a nap. It was GLORIOUS! I realized that the only time I can take a nap on a Sunday is if I'm home because my church down here at Snow is from 1-4pm. By the time I'm home and done eating it's almost 5:30 or 6. Then there are meetings that I'd need to go to since I'm RS Pres and all.

Monday: I slept in! I love sleeping in when I don't have to worry about anything in the mornings. I slowly but surely packed to come back to Snow. I also just spent time with my mom and dad. :) It was good to just spend time with them and not have to worry about things. I left for Snow with my friend Taylor. I realized that I like driving with someone then by myself. When I'm by myself, anything could happen like falling asleep or something but when I'm with someone it makes time go by faster and I'm more alert. I missed Snow though so it's good to be back for a little while. :)
