McDonald's

Pretty much my life is McDonald's. All I do is work. I've been working there for almost a month and I'm working 30+ hours a week which is good for me for Snow this fall. It's been going good though. There are people there that aren't LDS of course which is what I was expecting. There are some people that annoy me very badly but I keep that to myself. One of the biggest things that I don't like about working at McDonald's is that my co-workers talk behind each others backs to me. I don't talk about anyone in a bad way when I work there but it just bugs me when other people do it. But I meet the funniest, weirdest, meanest (is that really a word?) people that come into McDonald's

The nicest guy that comes in every day is a guy named Bob. He lives just a few minutes away from McDonald's. He comes in and all the workers at McDonald's know him. He either comes in for lunch or breakfast but he's so awesome and nice. He actually remembers Vanessa when she used to work there. Every time he comes in he always ask how Vanessa is doing. I called Vanessa the other day and talked to him about Bob and we had some good laughs about him.

The meanest people I've seen is I was doing pick up which is where you pick up your food in the drive thru and so this lady wanted an extra drink when she was picking up her order so I told her to pull forward and that I would bring it out to her so I got the drink and I walked out there and because she wanted an extra drink, she'd have to pay for it so I gave her the drink and said the total and she started swearing at me and saying that she shouldn't pay. She gave me back the drink and sped off. A DRINK! She swears at me for giving her the drink and she didn't want to pay. What is the world coming to? seriously...

We have garbage receptacles that say "Thank You" when you put trash in there. Well we get people that come in that are fascinated with the fact that it is automatic and that it says "Thank You". I've actually had guys record the whole process on their phone or video camera. IT'S JUST A TRASH CAN! haha

This weekend I had my friend and roommate this fall, Victoria Tuakimoana (call me and try saying the last name haha), stayed with me for a farewell today. We actually went to the Drive-In in Erda (good ol' Erda) and watched Eclipse and Letters to Juliet! They are both really good movies! I've seen Eclipse already before but I hadn't seen Letters to Juliet and it was really cute! Definitely a chick flick but good :) Today we went to one of my college friends mission farewells. Spencer Jensen is going to the Lima, Peru mission. He's going to be such a good missionary. Lucky for me, he lives in Erda. We went to his house afterwards for lunch and chatting with a bunch of my friends from Snow. :) It was a good day today.

Mom and Grandma are in Canada. It's so weird that mom is gone. I'm so used to her being around the house. But she deserves a break. :) I'm sure she will be having lots of fun in Canada this week with Aunt Kaye and Uncle Gary.

New Phone!

I finally got a new phone! I've been wanting one so bad now for so long! I had a slide phone which was nice when I first had it and then buttons stopped working on it. Drove me crazy. So yesterday I called T-mobile and asked if i qualified for a full upgrade and she said yes so I went to the T-Mobile store and checked out their phones. Didn't know which ones to get but I was looking at touch screens. I finally decided on one and got it. Phil went with me but didn't buy a phone. He decided that he wanted to look online. I really like my new phone. it's so nice and it's 10 times better than my old phone. It's a Nokia Nuron.

I'm getting more hours in at McDonald's. Which is helping me stay busy. I've also been playin the piano a lot. I love playing it and getting to know different songs on the piano.

The 4th of July was fun! Instead of going to the parade in the morning, we watched the world cup on TV. We also did waterballoon launching on our street. Okay, story time! So I was down watching the guys catch waterballoons for a while and I was leaning on Stu's car by the cemetery. I was just watching the waterballoons fly until I see this one coming straight for my head. I ducked my head and put my hands on the back of my head to protect it and I just hear this whoosh sound in my right ear and I hear it hit the gravel. Both Danny and Dad said "You were lucky you ducked your head because if you didn't, it would've hit you right in the ear!" It was so scary at the time but I was really lucky. We then had dinner which was hamburgers, baked beans, corn on the cob, potato salad, fruit salad and punch. It was soo good. :) We went to Grantsville to watch fireworks and I ran into my best friend from college Janessa McNeill! I was so happy to see her. I hadn't seen her in 2 or 3 weeks :) it was pretty awesome! The fourth of july weekend was really good. :)

Summer!

My summer has been going pretty well. Time is flying by!

I started working at McDonald's this week. It's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. It's pretty fun though. I've met some really nice people while I've worked there this week. I love making new friends and it's fun meeting people everyday there.

I've also gone into reading this summer. I'm currently reading a few of Mary Higgins Clark books. The one I'm reading right now is called "There's No Place Like Home" it's pretty interesting. It's a murder mystery and it's getting intense!

I'm very excited about this weekend, with it being the 4th of July and all. It'll be fun having the whole family together and involving Danny with our 4th of July activities. We go to the parade, we have a BBQ, we launch waterballoons down the street, and then we watch the fireworks. :) I'm looking forward to a day of fun!

Mom and I are going to see Eclipse tomorrow night. I've heard that it's the best movie out of all of them so far. Well, Mom and I will see how it is when we watch it tomorrow :)

Yay! Job!

I finally have a job! I'm going to be working at McDonald's! Yes, this is the same McDonald's that Vanessa and Phil worked at. I start tomorrow (Wed.) with my orientation and then I just start working. I'm so glad I have a job now. More money for college! haha

My roommate and I are going to the Manti Pageant tonight and we're staying at one of my student wards bishops house. Make sense? haha I'm very excited to see this. I haven't seen this show in well over 10 years. I remember going when I was little and falling asleep as soon as it started. I know I won't fall asleep this time! ha!

Life is going good. Just helping out with my family as much as I can. We got in our cooler yesterday so we have air conditioning! Stuart and Vanessa and Danny came out this weekend which was nice. We got to talk and play a game. It's crazy how time is flying by so fast! SLOW DOWN! haha just kidding. But anyway, thats about all I have for now.

Afghan and Jobless

Yeah Del Taco called me and said that they couldn't hire me for another month so I'm jobless once again. I really hope I get a job here soon. You get bored when you are sitting at home all day.

One of the things I did this summer was crocheting an afghan. I decided to match the colors of my quilt that I made last summer for college. It took me about a month and a half to finish it. I love it! It's so cute.

It's crazy because a lot of my friends are going on their missions whether they just got their mission calls or they just got into the MTC. I have a huge list of all my friends and where they are going. I am so proud of all of them for making the choice to serve a mission. I have actually been thinking about serving a mission myself. But It'll be after Snow. My roommate Alaina got her mission call and she's going to the Philippines! I don't remember where but she's going!

Well thats about it. My life isn't very spectacular at the moment. Maybe something will pop up soon. Sorry that the picture is sideways, I don't know how to turn it the right way.

Birthday!

So this weekend was my birthday. I had a lot of fun. I had some of my college friends come over to the house for a birhtday bash! We got pizza and we watched the movie "Dear John". I actually didn't like it that much. I didn't like the ending for some weird reason. We also helped out my friend Janessa with her camp stuff. She's going to be a camp leader at a girls camp for the summer. She's super excited. My friend Lacey is also doing the camp leader thing but they are at different camps. We then watche dht emovie "Taken". Oh my! good movie! It's a good one. Some of my friends that came over hadn't seen the movie so we watched it. I had Sam, Janessa and Lacey over for the birthday bash. Janessa's birthday was on Tuesday the 25th and so we celebrated our birthdays. We had a cake that we decorated which is one of the pictures. They slept over and we had breakfast in the morning. We had pancakes and all the fixings with it. It was a lot of fun to have my friends with me again.

My birthday was good. I got an exercise ball from grandma. I'm in the exercise mood this summer so I'll be working out a lot this summer. I also got this wallet that mom made for me :) I really like it but Mom doesn't like it. We're going to make another one when I make my purse. I'm going to make a purse this summer. I actually have quite a few things that I want to do this summer. I am currently making an afgan. I'm crocheting one. Oh my gosh it's so fun! I love it. I'm making it the colors of my college quilt that I made last summer. It's going to be pink., green and blue. :) I'm pretty excited for it.

I kinda have a job. I had a job interview last thursday and the manager guy said that I got the job and that he would call me the next day. A few hours later, he calls me telling me that he couldn't hire me because of the old managaer and that they didn't fill out some paper work and so he said that he would call me in a week to see if I still wanted the job. He's going to call me sometime this week, I don't know when but I am going to take the job so I guess I do have a job but I guess it's not set in stone yet. The job is at Del Taco in Lake Point. :) it's close to home so I think it'll be a good job. One of the things that I'm going to have to live with is that I'll be working with a lot of mexicans at Del Taco cause it is a Taco place haha I'll let you guys know how it goes.

It's Mom's birthday today and she is 29! haha just kidding. She's 50. It's pretty crazy. Today we totally had a lazy day today. We watched Return to Me and The Family Man. Now we are going to go to Chili's for dinner :)

Vanessa's Wedding

VANESSA IS MARRIED! I'm so happy for her. I love them both so much for making the choice of getting married in the temple. It was a beautiful day! She was so beautiful and they were both on cloud 9 all day long. We had a wedding luncheon at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building for the happy couple. It was very nice and very good food. Stuart sang a song for Danny and Vanessa. He sang 'Accidentally In Love' by The Counting Crows. He did a very nice job. They also had a slide show of Vanessa and Danny from babies to now. It was really cute. The luncheon was really good. It was then off to the reception! We all rushed over to the stake center in Stansbury where we got the food set up and got pictures taken. The reception went very well. The refreshments were good and lots of people came. The male siblings from both sides of the bride and groom decorated the car and all that jazz. It was a very good day. Vanessa and Danny went to Yellowstone for their Honeymoon. They are still on it, I think. Anyway, Vanessa and Danny will be opening their wedding presents Sunday in Logan. That'll be exciting!

Life for me is going okay. It could be better. I have been job hunting for about a week now and I am very tempted to work fast food cause I know I'll have better luck in getting a job. I am still trying to find a good paying job for the summer. If any of you people reading this message know of any job hirings, please let me know. I went to a Paramore/Relient K/Fun concert on Monday night. It was so AWESOME! I went with Lacey and Victoria! It was so AWESOME! wait...I just said that. I actually have never heard of the band 'Fun' until Monday night. I thought it was Relient K at first but it wasn't haha They had some pretty good music. I wouldn't mind listening to them more. It was Lacey's first concert ever and so I'm pretty sure she had an amazing first concert experience. :)

Jeremy and I are just friends now. We did go on a few dates but he just felt that it was best if we were friends. I am okay with it. I am perfectly fine being friends with him. I just gotta keep moving. I don't want something to stop me. I am getting better at dating. I think. I have room and time to improve. I actually have a date coming up soon. I'm pretty excited about it :)
