The Temple

I had the opportunity to go to the Salt Lake Temple on Tuesday with the youth and do baptisms for the . I haven't been to the temple in a really long time cause I've been busy with work and school things.

So When I got to the church to meet the youth there was a young women and a young men that it would be there first time in the temple doing baptisms. It just kind of put me in a flashback of when I went to the temple for the first time. I remember I was so nervous and that I left my socks on when I went in the water (for those of you who know what I'm talking about) My dad was the first one to do baptisms for the with me.

I rode with a leader and two beehives and one of the beehives was the whose first time was that day so I talked to her a little bit about what happens and what you have to do and stuff like that. She was so nervous but she wanted to do it again after she did the whole process. We went to McDonald's and had stuff off the dollar menu. It was a fun time and I love going to the temple. I can't wait til I can go to the temple to get married with my partner who is worthy to enter the temple and be sealed to me forever.

School Starts!

It's very strange to think that I'm a Senior in High School. I'm graduating! Ahh! Well, I went to my first day of school and it is so strange to think that there are no upper classmen above me. lol I am the upper classmen. I went to school and went to my classes. My schedule this semester is 1. Seminary 2. Eng 1010 3. Musical Theater 4. Show Choir 5. Adv. Math 6. Study Hall 7. Psy 1010 8. Internship

I'm so glad I have seminary first hour. I can feel the spirit in the morning and have it with me throughout the day. I'm way excited about my Musical Theater class and my Internship class. My musical theater class we're going to be learning about composers and performance skills. My Internship class is in Tooele and I'm going to go to an Elementary School into one of the classes and help out there. I'm really excited to meet the class and to learn more about it.

It is really strange not having Vanessa home. She's down at Snow College for the semester and it's weird not having her home. I'm used to her coming home from work or from band. But It'll take a while for me to get used to it. The family went down to help her unpack and get settled in a week ago. It was interesting how housing is going to be like for her and me next year. It's going to be a very intersting experience when I go to college.

New Haircut!

I finally got a haircut. I was getting bored of my long hair. My friend Brittney was saying the same thing about her hair even though it's not that long. She just really likes her hair short and it was getting longer than usual so we both decided to get our haircuts together.

We went to Wal-Mart to get our haircuts and we were both way excited. I was first up and the lady that did my hair was foreign and so I didn't know where she was from. Anyway, she was playing through my hair and she asked me if my hair is natural and I said yes and she asked if I've dyed or highlighted my hair. I said no. She said "Oh it would be so beautiful if you got light blonde highlights" my first reaction was NO!!!! but then Brittney told me that it would be cute so I went with it and I got my hair highlighted and cut. So it's all new but I like it. I've had my haircut for a week now and I love it. it's so easy to style.

Hot and Bored

This week has been hot, hot and oh yeah hot. The house has been very hot today and in the past few days. Vanessa and I have been sweating and complaining about the heat. So we decided to go outside and water the lawn (which is sadly very dry) Vanessa and I got in our swim suits and got each other wet. It was a lot of fun. Even though we thought we were lame.

This week both Vanessa and I have been busy with work and other things. I've been working at the Dry Cleaners a lot this week and Vanessa at McDonalds and getting college things together. We had a really weird thunder storm the other night. We had the storm at night and then the next morning it was clear skies...how weird. Grandma, Vanessa and I went to Costco to get things grandma needed and it was pouring rain in West Valley but once we got to Magna it was dry and all. crazy stuff.

This Weekend

So today I went on a date with Lee Johnson. He just turned 16 in May and he hadn't been on a date yet. So Vanessa and I decided to kidnap him and go on a date. Vanessa got a date and then we called Lee's mom to tell her what we were doing and then we kidnapped him this morning. We took him to Wal-Mart and played the item game there. Lee and I won. It was fun. Then we went to the movies and saw "The Dark Knight". It was a really good movie. Heath Ledger was amazing in it. It's strange to know that it was his last movie. He did a really good job playing the Joker. I thought that was his best movie he's done that I've seen at least. I haven't seen the other Batman movies but I thought this one was really good. It was a really long movie. It was about two and a half hours long. Well, After the movie we went to Coldstone and had ice cream. It was a great date and I hope Lee had a good time going on his first date.

Well, this weekend is going to be interesting. Mom leaves to go to Canada tomorrow. Lucky duck! I wanna go with her. I wouldn't mind hanging around quilt shops all day. As long as I have my favorite books to read. I also wanted to try Poutine again. I thought it was pretty good when I tried it like 2 years ago with Eric, Garth, Vanessa and Minkins. Good memories. I miss the Mr. Big's and the Aero's. They were good. Mr. Big's are my favorite canadian candy bar. Aunt Kaye! Remind my mom to get a few Mr. Big's and Aero's. k?

I get to work tomorrow at the motel. I think this next paycheck is going to be good. I'm excited cause it's all going to the cell phone I'm getting. I'm going to be on Vanessa's plan and I'm just going to pay half and she the other half. I'm excited to finally have my own phone and unlimited text. I don't know what phone I'm going to get but I know for sure it's going to be a cheap phone. Maybe Ethan can help me with picking out a good phone.

Tomorrow night I'm going to a friends house. Her name is Stephanie Welsh. She's Korean and she just went on a trip to Korea to visit her friends and family. She got something for me from Korea so I'm going over there to hear her stories and to get my little gift. Her dad is really nice. He'd take Steph and I to Tooele and get us junk food and dinner where ever we wanted to go. I like going over to her house. Her and her dad are so nice to me and I just feel right at home there. So those are my plans for the weekend.

My Date With Zach

My date with Zach was really fun! I had a really fun time. We saw the movie "Journey to the Center of the Earth" I thought it was going to be kind of geeky but it turned out to be a really good movie. I recommend it. So at Cinema 6 there are only 2 movies that I haven't seen and that is "Hellboy 2" (Vincent! (mom would only get that)) and "Hancock" Now I heard Hancock was either really good or really stupid. So I don't know which one to go with. I might just have to go see it for myself. I can't wait til The Dark Knight comes out, which is this friday but I probably won't see it for a while cause it'll be packed!

Well, My date was fun. Zach and I both had a good time which is good. Cause I those dates when one person is having a blast and the other is dreading it. ya know? Well, I'll keep on writing about my boring life.

My Senior Pictures

Well, I just put up a slide show of all my senior pictures. I hope you like them cause I love them.

So Today it was my second time working at the dry cleaners. I really like my job there. Sometimes it gets a little hectic but it's better than any other job I've had. Like today we had this lady come in to pick up a friends order and she complained about how she wanted it just hemmed and not dry cleaned. I had no idea what to do so I called one of my friends that was working and they helped me out but I guess the lady got impatient and mad and just said "whatever, thanks for the great service" she said it all sarcastic but it was my first mean customer. My friend called my boss at that time and told her what happened. My friend handed me the phone and my boss was asking me how I like my job so far and a few other questions. My boss is very flexible with my schedule. I mean I'm going to the Show Choir Retreat which is August 6th and I talked to my boss today and she said to not worry about it. I love my boss. She's really nice and I hope I work there for a while.

I got asked on a date by my friend named Zach Schow. I'm kind of excited cause it's tomorrow night. We're going to dinner and a movie. We're going to Pizza Hut. I don't think he knows this yet but it's one of my favorite places to eat. I don't know what movie we're going to go see but he hasn't seen Wall*E and I have but I don't mind at all seeing it again. I love the short film at the beginning for thoses who have seen it before. I can't wait for the date. I haven't been on a date for a while so it'll be nice to have fun for a while.

My best friend Brittney is getting her wisdom teeth out tomorrow. I totally forgot that she was getting them out this week. My friend Aila is getting hers out on wednesday so it's 2 friends in a week becoming human chipmunks (cause their cheeks are all puffy :) thats why I call them that) but I'm going to have mine out at the beginning of next year. So I will feel their pain. I'm going to their ice cream party on friday cause thats all they can eat is ice cream.
